I’m thankful for Ronee keeping us updated and for CeCe’s correspondence keeping everyone in the loop.
Sending prayers for Paul and that this experience of the pain and suffering he’s going through will not last long and for Ronee, sending blessings

Great idea about starting a Fund Me for them. I hope Ronee will change her mind. I’m sure she’s overwhelmed with the situation and frustrated as well. I believe we all feel indebted to Paul for all the amazing moments we experienced hiking or biking with him. He’s enthusiasm just rubs off on us.
Thank you Cece for all u do!

Thanks for the update. Elaine and I feel a deep debt to Paul for his friendship, leadership and kindness. When I first met Paul a couple of years ago, I came home to tell Elaine about this great guy running the E-bike group. Elaine felt the same way after she met him and went on our first ride with the group. So we feel very indebted to him for all the great experiences he gave to us. We would love to donate to some kind of go fund me assistance.

Although Mark and I are the newbie’s of the group we too found this wonderful group and has been some wonderful adventures. Thanks for the update on Paul. Praying they can find that medical halo soon.

This is so heartbreaking. My prayers are with Paul, Ronnee and his family.
Whatever i can do let me know.
Go fund me is a great idea but I agree we should keep this on the down low to only those closest to him and as part of the CDH leadership team I will do what I can.
🙏 🙏 🙏

much for the update. I can’t wait to see and talk with him. Prayers are being said for him at my church.

I’ve been thinking about Paul regularly since I heard the news, rooting for his recovery. He’s brought adventure to those that have or do spend time with him, , and because of him, many friendships have been formed. Thank you Cece for forming this group. And thank you Debra for letting me know. If I can be of help, don’t hesitate to ask.

Sharing a comment from our co-leader Hoy. It’s in reply of hearing about Paul’s accident and the request to consider setting up rides:
“It’s been hard to digest what happened to Paul. I also had a very bad accident several years ago. Chipped tooth, lacerated lip, broken eye socket, concussion. Without a good helmet, I would not be alive today. It really made me rethink bike riding and I was out for several months. The accident occurred when I was on a group century ride. Since that time, I never rode another century. I have done many metric centuries since but my bike riding has definitely been reduced. I have organized many rides over the past few years with a strong emphasis on safety. The best ride is when you can finish and ride another day.
I would love to organize and lead/sweep rides while Paul is rehabilitating. My riding history has well over 100 different rides throughout California. I also have the ability to tap into the Los Angeles Wheelmen’s library of rides which is one of the most extensive in Southern California.
I do have some conditions. I want to ensure each ride has a leader and a sweep. There are people with different levels of experience and fitness along with a broad range of “bicycles”. Anything can happen and it is always best to have someone follow the flock to ensure we all finish safely. I also prefer to reduce the average speed of the rides down to 12-14 miles per hour. The faster you go, the more serious any accidents become.
I have been in the process for renovating a house over the past year and will move in within a few months. It’s a bit further east from Downtown LA so traveling to the Calabasas area will add a few more miles to the trip.
Again, I would definitely want to help and continue the bike meetup activities. Perhaps a few of us can meet or have a phone call to plan out future bike rides” ~ Hoy.
I’m very sorry to be reading this and I hope Paul has a speedy recovery. This coming to you from the middle of Africa as I travel around but I was so looking forward to joining you all when I return please wish Paul my very best.
